Audi Q3

After the success of Q7 and the Q5 , now it’s time for Q3  by Audi . Q3 is SUV come Crossover .Because  this time crossovers  are  the  first choice of the buyers  in the market .  It  look like big, chunky off-roaders, but are as easy to drive and economical as a family hatchback . The Q3 is a five-door compact coupe crossover  by Audi that has to debut commercially in 2011. It is the smallest SUV by Audi and is hoped to be followed by a sibling Audi Q1 in the 2012.

Interior  is excellent, and there's space for five inside. Every car, whether  petrol  or diesel, come with stop-start, which cuts the engine when you put the  car into neutral. Audi's quattro four-wheel drive is offered across the range, but front-wheel drive versions offer class-leading economy and emissions figures.”

“The gearbox works brilliantly. It's quick enough to leave in full manual mode, yet also enjoyable when you take control via the wheel-mounted paddles. This petrol version also trumps the diesel in terms of handling, feeling lighter on its toes and faster to react.”

There's the choice of two- or four-wheel drive as well as diesel engines directed at affordable running costs and performance focused petrol versions. Like many models from the range it still loses out to the BMW when it comes to driver engagement.
Production of the Audi Q3 started in the first half of 2011. The compact, sporty SUV is built on ultramodern facilities at the SEAT plant in Martorell, Spain. The operations are geared up to an annual capacity of more than 100,000 vehicles.
An entirely new body shop and a new assembly line were erected for the Audi Q3 in 2009 and 2010. Total capital investments for the production of the Audi Q3 in Martorell amount to more than EUR 300 million.
Production – expanding the manufacturing network
Martorell is the headquarters of the Volkswagen Group brand SEAT. Building the Audi Q3 in Martorell will add a further building block to AUDI AG’s production network and represents part of its growth strategy. The urbane off-roader will be built there with high levels of flexibility to comply with Audi’s quality standards.

Audi plans to launch its model Q3 in India in 2012 as it looks to achieve about 40 per cent growth in sales in 2012. The company will showcase the two models at the upcoming Auto Expo next month in the national capital.
The big rival of Q3 are X1 and  MINI Countryman and Range Rover Evoque .
